PUCM President visited Lianyungang Foreign Affairs Office

On May 22, Hui Qian, Director of the Foreign Affairs Office of Lianyungang City, met with Dato’ Keith Li , President of the Malaysia-China Entrepreneurs Federation and his delegation, and held talks on promoting friendly exchanges and cooperation between our city and Malaysia.
Hui Qian welcomed Li and his delegation and introduced the economic and social development of Lianyungang to Chairman Li. She said that under the strong leadership and high attention of the Municipal Party Committee and Municipal Government, Lianyungang has a better and better foundation for accelerating development, the conditions are becoming more and more mature, and the investment environment is becoming more and more superior. In particular, Xuwei New District is a forward-looking development of Lianyungang. Region and strong growth pole, a series of major petrochemical industry projects such as Shenghong Petrochemical, Satellite Petrochemical, and Ascend have been launched one after another, with great development potential and a promising future. It is hoped that Chairman Li Zhongping, as an overseas Chinese who has been deeply involved in Malaysia for many years, will play an active role in promoting our city to open a sister city to Malaysia, expand Lianyungang’s international influence, and strengthen economic, trade and cultural exchanges and cooperation between our city and Malaysia.
Dato’ Keith Li introduced the friendly exchanges between China and Malaysia, the local economy and society in Malaysia, and the development of overseas Chinese. He said that Lianyungang has undergone rapid changes in recent years. In the future, he is willing to use the Malaysia-China Entrepreneurs Association as a platform to continue to play the role of bridge and link, strengthen international exchanges and cooperation between Lianyungang and Malaysia and even Southeast Asia, and promote the two sides in education, culture, Cooperation in tourism, trade, investment and other fields will contribute to the development of our hometown.
