On June 8, the first Shandong International Confucian Business Association Annual Conference and Project Matchmaking Negotiation Meeting was successfully held in a combination of online and offline formats. More than a thousand people attended the event, including representatives from overseas Confucian business associations, overseas Chinese organizations, and domestic and foreign enterprise representatives from more than 20 countries. Chairman Meng Xiangdong of the Shandong Council for the Promotion of International Trade attended the event and delivered a speech, encouraging overseas Confucian business associations to strengthen information exchanges with the province, expand cooperation channels, participate in hometown construction, spread Qilu culture, and be a pathfinder for Shandong's opening to the outside world and a facilitator for foreign cooperation. Leaders of the Provincial Overseas Chinese Affairs Office and the Provincial Federation of Industry and Commerce delivered speeches respectively, stating that they will fully integrate domestic and overseas resources, give full play to the role of the Shandong International Confucian Chamber of Commerce, and serve Shandong’s high-quality development and high-level opening to the outside world; Ju Dongying, Chairman of the Japan-China Science, Technology and Culture Exchange Center, Chairman Li Gang of the China General Chamber of Commerce in Slovenia, Wang Zihai, Chairman of the Pakistan-China Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Datuk Li Zhongping, President of the Federation of Chinese Entrepreneurs in Malaysia (PUCM), and representatives of Confucian chambers of commerce in more than ten other countries spoke respectively to promote Shandong’s foreign economic and trade exchanges. 6月8日，首届山东国际儒商会年会暨项目对接洽谈会以线上线下相结合的形式成功举办。来自20多个国家的境外儒商会代表、境外华人华侨组织及境内外企业代表共千余人参加活动。山东省贸促会孟向东会长出席活动并致辞，鼓励境外各儒商会与省内加强信息交流、拓展合作渠道、参与家乡建设、传播齐鲁文化，做山东对外开放的探路者、对外合作的撮合家、促进山东发展的实干家、中华文明和齐鲁文化的传播者。省侨办、省工商联领导分别致辞，表示将充分整合境外内资源，发挥山东国际儒商会作用，服务山东高质量发展和高水平对外开放；日中科学技术文化交流中心巨东英理事长、斯洛文尼亚中国总商会李刚主席、巴基斯坦中国工商联合会王子海会长、马来西亚中国企业家联合会（PUCM）总会长拿督李中平及其他十余个国家的儒商会代表分别发言，为山东对外经贸交流与合作建言献策。
会议期间，山东省贸促会（山东国际商会）与哈萨克斯坦、马来西亚、巴基斯坦、乌兹别克斯坦、日本、柬埔寨、泰国、西班牙、加拿大等9国相关商协会、山东商会等机构正式签署合作备忘录，在所在国设立儒商会；会议还发布了境外儒商会对鲁合作项目70余个，组织省内近200家企业参与对接，会前及会议现场，开展企业对接100余组，达成合作意向40余个。会后还将持续分国别开展专场项目对接活动。

山东国际儒商会是依托海外华人华侨和推崇儒家文化的工商界人士，由山东省贸促会（山东国际商会）牵头打造的境外经贸合作网络，是山东联系海外华人商协会组织推动务实合作的工作机制和平台。自2020年10月启动以来，各国儒商会克服疫情影响，创新交流方式，搭建合作平台，参与举办经贸交流活动101场，服务企业1000余家，推动达成合作意向96个，意向金额112亿元，全球成员单位由11家扩展至20家。山东国际儒商会网络更加完善，机制日趋成熟，作用逐步显现。
马来西亚中国企业家联合会（PUCM）成立于2015年,是大马最具活力、最接地气的中资商会之一，旗下设有彭亨州分会、智能科技分会、女企业家分会、山东国际儒商会（马来西亚）及潍坊贸促会代表处等机构。
